Protein supplements made easy:
Agel PRO gel packs
Most people probably associate use of protein supplements with bodybuilders, or professional athletes.
It's true that weight lifters and other high-powered athletes, like football players, need more protein than the rest of us.
But even regular people, who care about their health and are trying to keep healthy diet and to exercise, can definitely enjoy benefits of protein products.
As you might know, protein supplements usually come in a form of protein powder or protein bars. Powders cannot be taken "as is", and require mixing with a liquid. Protein bars do not require a hassle of mixing and are more convenient than powder - but might taste not so great...
Agel PRO really stands out from the rest of protein products.
- It is a balanced protein gel which can be beneficial to practically everybody.
- It offers both great taste and convenience.
- Moreover, Agel PRO is made from whey protein isolate: one of the finest sources of protein available.
Whey protein isolate
Whey is one of the proteins found in milk (the other is casein).
It accounts for about 20% of the total protein found in milk, with casein being the rest 80% of milk protein. Whey protein was long considered as useless by-product of dairy (cheese) manufacturing, but in recent years it has been a subject of an increasing interest as a major component for protein supplements.
Agel PRO is made from whey protein isolate: the purest form, with about 90% of protein content.
Whey protein isolate is rich in certain amino acids and is very low in fats and cholesterol. It contains only trace amounts of milk fat and lactose (less than 0.5%) making it easily digestible even for those with lactose intolerance.
Furthermore, whey isolate has the highest known levels of Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) of any natural food source.
The combination of these three essential amino acids (BCAAs = leucine, valine and isoleucine) make up approximately 1/3 of skeletal muscle in the human body, and play an important role in protein synthesis. These key amino acids also help to delay muscle fatigue during endurance exercise.
Whey isolate has 50% more leucine than soy protein isolate. Leucine an essential amino acid ("essential" means it cannot be manufactured in the body), which is required for the growth and repair of muscle tissue, and can help with wound healing and regulation of blood sugar levels.
Another amino acid, cysteine, can be found in relatively high amounts in whey protein - compared to other sources used in protein supplements such as soy or gelatin in which cysteine is lacking. Cysteine is needed for healthy nails, skin and hair, as well as for process of detoxification and for proper functioning of some antioxidants.

Word of precaution
There are no documented whey protein side effects provided a person does not have an allergy to dairy proteins or is lactose intolerant.
If you have a dairy protein allergy please consult your physician before taking whey protein. If you are lactose intolerant choose a whey protein isolate which contains trace amounts of lactose, if any.
Please note that Agel PRO does contain milk.
Always consult you physician before taking any dietary supplements, including protein supplements.
Who should consider taking protein supplements?
Virtually every active person should consider adding a protein supplements to a diet. The main reason is that a good protein supplement could help to achieve faster and more effective muscle recovery after workout or physical work.
"Good" supplement, from dietary point of view, means high quality of ingredients, high bioavailability and easy absorption.
On a personal side, I would add that a good supplement should have a good taste and should be convenient in use.
When I go to fitness club for a workout,
I try not to eat before it, and to only drink water. This makes me feel much better, and make my workout much more enjoyable.
However, on the way home, I feel that I could use some snack. This is the time when I take a gel pack of protein supplement PRO. I tear the top, and slowly sip its smooth, flavor-rich content. It tastes so good! Chocolate truffle is my favorite flavor; another option is strawberry banana.
It tastes great; a gel pack is very convenient; and Agel PRO benefits my body by providing necessary proteins to muscles after a workout!
I really like this product!
