A group of scientists from the University of Michigan and the National Council of Science and Technology found that the less people pay attention to their body shape and weight, the less likely they are to put themselves in order. So obese people diet and exercise in the gym will not give the desired effect. This is due to the fact that over time, excess weight is regarded by the body as the norm, so this does not allow you to quickly get rid of it. Scientists came to such conclusions after a series of experiments on laboratory rats.
It is worth noting that obesity is not only an aesthetic problem, since it negatively affects all vital systems and organs. According to medical statistics, obese people are almost 4 times more likely to suffer from diseases such as diabetes, bronchial asthma, various cardiovascular diseases, and they also significantly increase the risk of developing dementia and kidney disease.
During the experiments, scientists recorded changes in internal indicators from the norms of those rodents that were overweight, soon did not start to lose weight. Moreover, the longer the rats were in this state, the less they were affected by starvation and physical activity. At the same time, those rodents that lost weight immediately after gaining weight, said goodbye to the odd without any effort.
