Proper nutrition for the spine and joints

We write interestingly about training, proper nutrition and everything related to healthy life and fitness.

What should be done to avoid common diseases of the musculoskeletal system? Will regular exercise, uniform physical activity and control over the calcium content in the body be enough? These rules are, no doubt, important to follow throughout life. But it is equally important to ensure proper nutrition for the spine and joints , since there are much more harmful or useless products in the diet of an average person than components that help strengthen bone tissues.

First of all, it is necessary to try to exclude products from your diet that can in one way or another negatively affect health in general, as well as the health of the spine and joints in particular.

We refuse from “harmful” products

Proper nutrition for the spine and joints primarily involves a partial rejection of traditional foods that most of us are used to eating regularly. Please note that we are talking about a partial refusal, that is, there is no need to completely exclude the following products from the diet. But their consumption should be competent, balanced and rational. The same applies to products that bring unconditional benefits to the health of the joints and spine.

So, scientists call any bakery products baked from white flour the most undesirable products for the musculoskeletal system. These include white bread and loaves, sweet rolls and other pastries, cakes, pastries, etc. Pasta is included in this list, with the exception of products made from durum wheat. Frequent consumption of any types of grains that have undergone industrial processing, processed white rice, oat and multi-cereal flakes is also undesirable.

To maintain normal skeletal system health, it is recommended that any long-term products (smoked, cured, dried meat or fish), home preservation, marinades and pickles are removed from the daily diet. You should also not abuse products containing glutamate, nitrates, artificial flavor enhancers, vinegar, salt, saturated fatty acids and animal fats.

Caution should also apply to products that contain refined sugar. This is any sweet drinks (juices, soft drinks), ice cream, jam, marmalade, cookies, etc.

Welcome healthy products

Remember the most important condition for proper nutrition for the spine and joints : half the daily diet should be fresh vegetables and fruits. Fortunately, today we are not dependent on the seasonality of the harvest, as you can buy any fresh fruits, herbs, fruits (including exotic), vegetables at the store at any time of the year.

Vegetable polyunsaturated fats are considered beneficial for the musculoskeletal system. A large number of them are found in olive, corn, sunflower, mustard, sesame, sea buckthorn, soybean oil. In addition, the composition of vegetable oils includes a huge amount of useful vitamins, essential fatty acids and cholesterol, which negatively affects blood vessels, is completely absent.

Finally, in order to never have problems with joints and the spine, it is necessary to harmonize the intake of vitamins and elements that contribute to the strengthening of bone tissues. Be sure to include in your daily menu foods rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, manganese, as well as products containing a large amount of vitamins A, E, C, D, B.
