Scientists have long proved that malnutrition, love of “harmful” foods can lead to the development of the most unexpected diseases. One of these ailments is fatty liver hepatosis – a disease that is currently extremely widespread among the adult population.
Fatty degeneration or fatty hepatosis is a chronic liver disease caused by the degeneration of hepatocytes (functional liver cells) into useless adipose tissue.
Causes of hepatosis
Favorable conditions for the occurrence of various diseases, a man, due to his negligence and medical illiteracy, “provides” himself. If you smoke a lot, diseases of the respiratory tract and lungs are inevitable. There are many lovers of delicious food and obesity lies in wait. And if you abuse alcohol – do not do without problems with the liver. So in this case – the causes of fatty liver hepatosis lie solely in the behavior of the person himself.
The main functions of the liver are to cleanse the blood of toxins, even the most minor. It doesn’t matter how and in what way the poison entered the body. This most important organ passes all the blood through itself, holding poisonous substances in the cells of its own tissues, and then converts them into ordinary proteins or simple fats.
Sometimes, under the influence of certain factors, the liver ceases to cope with its main tasks. This can happen for several reasons, the main of which are alcohol abuse, drug use, love for too fatty foods.
As already mentioned, the liver turns all toxic substances into fats and proteins. But when an excess of harmful elements enters the body with food, the liver “stores” them in its structure.
Such a development of events, as a rule, leads to the appearance of fatty liver hepatosis . Moreover, over time, fat cells are also able to “mutate”, which often leads to the development of liver fibrosis, and then to cirrhosis.
Symptoms Treatment methods
The first symptoms may be nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, severe dysbiosis, pain and even heaviness in the liver, yellowing of the skin.
Since the disease develops slowly, the symptoms of fatty liver hepatosis do not appear immediately, and their severity depends on the severity, stage and degree of development of the pathology. The signs of the disease are most clearly manifested only in the third stage, when, unfortunately, it is already impossible to treat the patient. In this case, only a donor liver transplant can save a person’s life.
Diagnosis of hepatosis is difficult, as patients can hardly name the expressed symptoms of the disease.
If any of the symptoms indicate liver problems, you should seek help from specialists as soon as possible. The doctor should examine the patient, palpate the liver area and, at the slightest suspicion of fatty hepatosis, send for an ultrasound, tomography or biopsy.
The main method of treating fatty liver hepatosis is diet therapy. It is recommended to exclude fatty, fried foods, meat dishes, fish dishes, canned foods, as well as mushrooms and tomatoes from the diet. The main condition for cooking is a complete lack of fat – food should be cooked in steam or in a steam bath.
It is recommended to eat fresh vegetables, dairy, vegetarian soups, boiled eggs, low-fat and unsalted cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, kefir and some other products. A complete list of diet products for the patient should be provided by the attending physician.
