Enemy number one: cellulite

We write interestingly about training, proper nutrition and everything related to healthy life and fitness.

The long-awaited spring has already entered into its legal rights. Warm and sunny. You can, finally, throw off the heavy woolen sweaters and trousers that are boring over the winter and put on something light and short. To the delight of the stronger sex and your beloved. And the mood improves, and you hum, looking at your reflection in a fashionable mini in the mirror. But what is it? Smooth graceful legs – the envy of girlfriends – this time they look somehow strange. And, feeling sad, you understand that the terrible word “cellulite” now applies to you. What for? Why? What now? A whole swarm of questions arises …

Experts define cellulite as a change in adipose tissue. Due to a metabolic disorder in it, a failure occurs in the blood supply processes, the tissue is poorly washed by lymph, which means that the slags are not completely utilized. Micro-nodules form under the skin , which then do not disappear. Use your thumb and forefinger to lightly squeeze the skin on your thighs and buttocks. Have you noticed the characteristic orange-peel bumps? This is a sign of cellulite. Sadly, 90% of women are affected by it: cellulite occurs in one in three women between the ages of 25 and 30, and in four women out of five between the ages of 30 and 40. How can one not envy the representatives of the strong half of humanity! After all, the problem of cellulite applies only to the weaker sex.

The reasons for the appearance of cellulite are in our ecology, malnutrition, stress, changes in hormonal levels, a sedentary lifestyle, alcohol abuse, tobacco smoking, and in addition, a predisposition to this disease, which is inherited, plays a role. An important role in the appearance of cellulite is played by slagging of the body: constipation, problems with the kidneys and liver, lymph congestion, metabolic disorders.

It would seem that there is something to give up, because getting rid of cellulite is not easy. However, if you stock up on persistence, you can still. Vacation season is just around the corner. So, ladies, do you want to look spectacular in smart summer dresses and not hide in closed swimsuits on the beach? Then, without shelving, start a merciless fight against cellulite!

In obese women, cellulite is much more common than in thin women. So if you decide to fight cellulite, at the same time start fighting extra pounds. The best place to start is with proper nutrition. Lose weight carefully and very slowly! Dramatic weight loss leads to increased cellulite!

Proper nutrition against cellulite:

for the prevention of cellulite, it is necessary to develop a balanced nutrition system in order to cleanse the body of toxins and lose weight. A prerequisite for all diets is to consume a minimum of calories. After about two weeks after starting the diet, you will already begin to lose weight.

Choosing a diet, first of all, reduce the intake of salt, as well as fatty and sweet. More vegetables and fruits – due to their high fiber content, the work of the gastrointestinal tract improves, metabolic processes in the body are accelerated. Zucchini, carrots, lettuce and cranberries are useful, as well as seaweed, which contains enough iodine, which has a positive effect on fat metabolism;

remember that the skin will be smooth and elastic only if the body has a sufficient amount of beta- kerotin , vitamins C and E, selenium and zinc, potassium, silicon, copper. As well as other important vitamins and minerals. Therefore, regularly include citrus fruits, cabbage, greens, wholemeal bread, seeds, nuts, legumes, onions, garlic, and tomatoes in your diet. Pamper yourself with pineapples (substances in pineapples break down fats) and apricots. Try to replace carbonated drinks and coffee with green tea and still mineral water.

very important! For the timely removal of toxins from the body, you need to drink a sufficient amount of liquid throughout the day. Nutritionists advise at least two liters per day.

But if you decide to get rid of cellulite only through diet, then know that this is not enough! Cellulite doesn’t just go away. A whole range of preventive measures is needed: the use of a special cream, massage, diet, sports.

Anti-cellulite preparations

CELLULITE CREAMS

Use anti-cellulite drugs, but first, be sure to find out if you are allergic to the substances that these drugs contain. When applying anti-cellulite cosmetics, first of all, keep in mind that only its systematic use will help you achieve the desired effect (it is advisable to use the drugs in the morning and in the evening, if you do not have time, then at least once a day; treatment should be daily). The main effect of these drugs is to smooth the skin, make it more elastic by accelerating blood circulation and cellular metabolism.

And yet, most anti-cellulite creams (indeed containing active ingredients that help break down fat) are effective at the initial stage of the disease. At the same time, massage movements with which the cream is rubbed in are much more beneficial. Massage improves metabolism, prevents tissue congestion. Cellulite-affected areas should be massaged every day. If you don’t have the time and money to go to a specialist, you can be content with self-massage. Taking a shower every day, rub your thighs, knees, buttocks with a massage brush or a hard mitten with vigorous circular movements. You can use roller massagers. Then a cream or gel is applied to the prepared skin, it is easily driven into the skin. Cream is very important. Because it is not just full hips and buttocks that make a bad impression, but loose skin on them and muscles that have lost mobility.

A special anti-cellulite complex of
gymnastic exercises:

To make cosmetics and the right diet more effective and give good results, you cannot do without special exercises. You should do it regularly, preferably every day. In order to keep your muscles in shape, it is enough to devote about 20 minutes to gymnastics every day.

1. Press your back against the wall, feet shoulder-width apart. Slide down to the sitting position. Slowly straighten, contracting your thigh muscles.

2. Lying on your back, place your feet on a chair. Leaning on your heels and tensing the muscles of the buttocks, raise and lower the pelvis.

3. Lying on your back, bend your knees, press your heels together. Stretch your legs up and then pull back towards you.

4. Lying on your stomach, lift your outstretched legs. Hold this position – spread your legs and close again.

5. Lying on your back, put the foot of one leg on the knee of the other, rest your heel on a chair. Raise and lower your pelvis.

6. The best exercise for strengthening your abdominal muscles, thighs, and glutes is squats. Start with 20-30 squats and gradually work up to 100-150.

7. In the morning and evening, while lying in bed, for a few minutes, lean your raised legs against the wall. This exercise stimulates lymphatic drainage and circulation.

Cycling, swimming, running, rollerblading – all these are wonderful and reliable means in the fight against the annoying “orange peel”. Try to walk for at least half an hour every day. Use every opportunity to walk, and not only horizontally, but also vertically: forget about the elevators, walk up and down the stairs, run up and down the escalators in the metro. Walking is the simplest and most effective form of physical activity. Very quickly you will get a taste and feel how from such seemingly nonsense your legs strengthened, your buttocks became more elastic, and your gait became lighter and more springy.

Water is our irreplaceable helper

Baths and contrast showers help to get rid of cellulite.

A contrast shower increases skin elasticity and dilates blood vessels. And a strong jet of cold water every day prevents the appearance of cellulite, as it increases blood circulation.

Here are some recipes for healing baths:

Sea salt bath. Many types of salt are sold in pharmacies, rich in magnesium, calcium, iron, iodine. The Dead Sea sea salt is very popular. Take a bath for 15 minutes once a week.

Rose petal bath. Collect as many rose petals as possible and submerge them in hot water to keep your skin soft and delicate, and this bath is a great relaxation remedy.

Seaweed bath. Such a bath promotes the elimination of toxins, gently removes dirt, actively penetrates the skin, creating a feeling of freshness and comfort. Take this bath once a week for about 30 minutes.

In specialized cosmetic clinics, cellulite is successfully (and far from free) fighting with the help of physiotherapy: lymphatic drainage, myostimulation, electroliposis . Contour wraps, compressed air massage, ultrasound also help. Those determined women who do not have time to wait until their figure becomes slim can be advised to get rid of cellulite by surgery using liposuction.

And finally, advice:

Tights with a supportive effect (70 denier and above) can provide excellent anti-cellulite prevention. By distributing pressure along the leg in a special way, they improve the condition of the veins, normalize the metabolism in the tissues. But do not confuse them with tights that have a slimming effect!
