Going on vacation, do not forget about your figure. Of course, on vacation, there is a temptation to eat different goodies, skip meals or have dinner late. However, if you do not want to face the problem of excess weight, you should still think about nutrition and physical activity.

Overweight: is it possible to lose weight on vacation?

Do you even have to count calories and go in for sports on vacation? Of course not! But remember some rules are still worth it. This will help not to gain extra pounds, and sometimes even lose some weight.

So, if overweight is an urgent problem, you should eat more vegetables and fruits, seafood on vacation. But baking and sweets should be consumed in small quantities and better before dinner. In addition, it is advisable to adhere to a diet. Three main meals at about the same time, as well as two snacks at will – this mode will help not to gain extra pounds.  

What else is worth remembering? When losing weight, it is better to choose a protein breakfast. Therefore, fish, seafood, eggs, lean meat are great for a first meal. Of course, such a meal should be supplemented with vegetables and herbs. Moreover, in any form. For example, you can choose a salad or smoothie. During the day, do not snack on fruits and rolls, but choose a full lunch and dinner. But at the same time, dinner should be light (fish, seafood, vegetables, cottage cheese). And you must abandon the sweet soda, it is better to drink freshly squeezed juices, water or stewed fruit.

If overweight does not bother, and there is a desire to maintain a figure in excellent shape, you just do not overeat. You can have breakfast with cottage cheese, porridge, egg dishes or vegetables. During the day, it is better to choose boiled, baked or stewed food. And of course, don’t have dinner too late. And do not abuse high-calorie drinks. Indeed, many drinks, including alcoholic ones, contain quite a lot of calories.

On vacation, you can not only support the existing one, but also get rid of excess weight. The main thing is to properly approach this issue. Do not starve, do not count calories, and enjoy relaxation and tasty, but healthy food.

Sea holidays and proper nutrition

What should be proper nutrition on vacation? Firstly, do not overeat. Servings should always be small (even if the dish is very tasty). Secondly, eating on the beach is better not with sweets and pastries, but with fruits. Thirdly, do not eat at night. In the evening it is better to take a walk, this will speed up the process of losing weight.  

In addition, one must understand that rest does not consist in the absorption of various foods, but in the abundance of positive emotions. And you can get them in different ways. For example, swimming a lot, or sunbathing, or more often go on different excursions, or try extreme types of relaxation (for example, diving). Therefore, do not put food at the forefront, albeit very tasty. You just need to rest and relax.  

It is worth remembering that rest is not a reason to forget about your health and diet. After all, health largely depends on nutrition. So, you need to follow him at any time. Therefore, you just need to adhere to the rules of a healthy diet.

Be sure to drink plenty of clean water. It will speed up the metabolism, help to avoid dehydration. Therefore, water should be everywhere: on the beach, on excursions, in cafes, in the room.

Here is a simple example of a useful one day holiday menu:

  • breakfast: omelet with vegetables, salad, juice; or oatmeal with fruit, yogurt; or a slice of boiled fish, salad and fruit drink;
  • snack: fruit salad; or yogurt with berries;
  • lunch: vegetable soup, seafood with vegetables, fruit, compote; or stew with meat and vegetables, bread, juice; or cold soup, chicken in milk sauce, fresh vegetables and fruit drinks;
  • afternoon snack: cottage cheese and fruits; or fruit smoothie; or cheese and fruits;
  • dinner: baked fish and salad; or boiled seafood and fresh vegetables; or cottage cheese casserole and berries;
  • before going to bed: yogurt or kefir.

Of course, the menu can vary depending on the capabilities and desires. The main thing is to eat fractionally and choose not too high-calorie dishes.

Interesting physical activity

Of course, on a summer vacation I do not want to do exercises every day. However, forget about physical activity and just spend all day lying on the beach.

In general, losing weight on vacation is easy. After all, you can swim a lot, and this activity helps to burn many calories and forget about excess weight. In addition, you can attend various excursions, especially hiking. This will not only get a lot of emotions, but also get rid of extra pounds.

If the sea is not too close to the boarding house, do not get upset. On the contrary, this is a virtue for those who want to lose weight. After all, you will have to walk to the sea, which means that all muscle groups will work. In addition, along the way you can enjoy beautiful landscapes.

On the beach you can play volleyball or badminton. If you relax with children, you can come up with many different games in which you need to run or jump. Such physical activity will appeal to the guys, and will help adults forget about excess weight (if you spend time on active games during the whole vacation). Of course, you don’t need to constantly jump and run, but you can play at least 15-20 minutes.

If you want something more original, you can try surfing, water skiing, kayaking, kitesurfing and much more. Such physical activity will help burn many calories. Therefore, if you like something extreme and unusual, it is worth a try. As a result, you will get a lot of new impressions and lose weight.

Well, the simplest thing is to walk a lot. Hiking is very good for health and shape. If you walk a lot every day, you can not be afraid for your figure. Of course, if there is a lot of excess weight, it is better to walk in the morning, and in the afternoon, and in the evening.

So, if you are going on vacation, try to follow simple rules: swim more, walk, not overeat, eat more fruits and vegetables. And then you can forget about excess weight. And one more nuance: you should not do work even on vacation, this leads to stress and to excessive appetite. So forget about work, just relax!
